In a forward-looking initiative on 22nd July 2025, the Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD) entered into a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences (BRAUSS). This partnership aims to foster inclusive, industry-relevant education through online technical, vocational, and skill-oriented certification and diploma programs. These programs are tailored to enhance the academic, professional, and technical capabilities of students, researchers, and professionals across India. The initiative seeks to bridge the education-employment divide by delivering practical, in-demand skills. Enrollment is open to all individuals, ensuring access without any form of discrimination—only a completed registration and course fee are required.

A Platform for Inclusive Skill Development

As part of the MoU, ICTRD and its network of institutions will offer a wide range of online learning programs in high-growth domains such as:

These courses will be delivered through ICTRD’s flexible, proprietary learning management system. Examinations will be conducted fully online, enabling learners from all parts of the country to participate without physical barriers.

Dr. Ketan Mohitkar, Member Secretary of ICTRD and an experienced leader in education and technology, emphasized the need to align educational offerings with workforce demands. “This MoU reaffirms our commitment to accessible, skill-based education that empowers learners for future opportunities,” he noted. Dr. Mohitkar also underscored the importance of startup incubation and entrepreneurship as core components of the partnership, aiming to drive inclusive innovation in collaboration with forward-thinking institutions like BRAUSS.

The programs under this partnership are designed to be truly inclusive—accessible to learners regardless of their social, economic, or demographic background. Anyone who registers and pays the fee can enroll, ensuring an equitable and merit-driven learning ecosystem.In a significant step toward fostering innovation, research, and inclusive education, ICTRD and BRAUSS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on a range of academic and developmental initiatives. The partnership aims to advance joint research projects, develop practical case studies, and host national-level innovation challenges. A key highlight of the MoU is the establishment of the Centre for Innovation, Research, and Development (CIRD), which will focus on supporting early-stage innovations, mentoring startups, and organizing hackathons, bootcamps, and faculty development programs. With a strong commitment to national development and social justice, the initiative ensures equitable access to opportunities, especially for underprivileged communities
